Once in Kansas, we were welcomed with the most open arms and true Southern hospitality from Stacey and Trecia Delp. This was the first time many of us got to meet the couple who host an annual ride every July.
Saturday was the first day of our adventure, as we headed out on the Arkansas River. We rode the most scenic areas during our ride. The rivers in Kansas are full of trees and nature. One could truly go for miles without seeing a boat ramp. We made many preplanned stops, including great swimming holes to mingle, time to admire everyone’s boats, and to just take in the river.
Our first swimming hole came with a history lesson. Stacey explained there used to be a dam and if you swam far enough out, the cement could still be felt.

Poker Run to Help a Friend
