Gost ki tahri was once a very popular dish in Awadh region, multiple types of biryanis took the place of tahri, vegetarian people made this tahri with potatoes.

Awadhi Cuisine Gosht ki Tahri

One can say this now in diminishing dishes so reviving this dish through Better Kitchen.

Method:

1. Wash the rice in normal water and let it soak for at least 30 minutes. Drain the water and set aside.

2. Take a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat, crack cumin seeds and green chili, now add onions and fry until they get golden brown.
