In the heart of Lower Parel, Mumbai, lies the prestigious Lodha Exelus, housing the head office of HDFC Life, one of the most well-established brands in the NBFC sector. At a point in time, their offices were steeped in conventional and traditional cubicle-style design aesthetics. However, as times change, so do cultures, and the company has come a long way in transforming its workplace design approach. Post-COVID, the call for reinvention echoed through their corridors, which suggested a shift from the standard type to the vibrant, from the conventional to the agile.
CREATIVE CHALLENGE: COMBINING TWO ZONES
Beyond Design Architects took on the challenge assigned not only to create a visually appealing space but also to foster a culture of collaboration and motivation. They took on the task of developing a collaborative and inspiring culture in addition to designing an aesthetically pleasing environment. The goal was very clear: defy convention, add colour and energy, and reinforce an atmosphere of maturity-a very fine balancing act.
