In the year 2000, Lara Dutta was crowned Miss Universe. A decade later, she had already starred in over 20 films, of which several were bold comedies. Cut to the present, where she's almost 40 films down and going strong with her foray into the OTT space with shows like 100 and Charlie Chopra & The Mystery of Solang Valley. The figurative crown never came off. Her passion for her work shines through as she reflects on rediscovering herself. "This is possibly the most fun I've had in my career," she beams as she talks about the long-overdue meaty roles coming her way. In an exclusive interview, the actress breaks down her craft and the joy of finding that sweet balance between the personal and professional realms.

I’ve possibly read almost all of Agatha Christie’s books that have been written. I love the genres of whodunits, murder mysteries and thrillers. Also, having the opportunity to work with a director who’s been on my wishlist as an actor, possibly since the start of my career, You don’t ask for more.
Was working with Vishal Bhardwaj exactly the way you expected it to be?
