Liam Payne’s One Direction bandmates and his former girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy, mother of his seven-year-old son Bear, said their final farewells to the singer at his funeral last week.
Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik, who were pictured together for the first time in nine years, looked grief-stricken as they arrived wearing sombre black clothing at the service, held at St Mary’s Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire.
Niall was accompanied by his girlfriend Amelia Woolley, while Harry, who was among the first of the guests to arrive, came with his close friend, actor and writer James Corden.
Louis and Zayn – who postponed several concert dates to ensure he could be at the service – arrived separately at the chapel, close to where Liam once lived with Cheryl and Bear in the village of Chalfont St Giles.
STRONG SUPPORT
Among other mourners at the moving service was influencer Kate Cassidy, Liam’s girlfriend of two years, who attended with her good friend Damian Hurley.
With her eyes hidden by dark glasses, the 25-year-old – who revealed after Liam’s death that the two had been planning to marry – stopped on her way into the chapel to look at a floral tribute shaped to represent tenpin bowling, a sport the pop star loved to play.
