ON THEIR FIRST SUMMER HOLIDAY AS THE KING AND QUEEN CHARLES AND CAMILLA PREPARE TO HOST THEIR FAMILY AT BALMORAL - BUT WON'T BE STAYING IN THE CASTLE

It’s where they have traditionally spent each summer break, but this year the King and Queen will be acting as hosts when they’re joined by their extended family at the Balmoral estate in Scotland

Over the coming weeks, the castle’s rooms will be filled with guests including the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children, Princes George, ten, and Louis, five, and eight-year-old Princess Charlotte; the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh with daughter Lady Louise, 19, and the Earl of Wessex, 15, and the Princess Royal and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.

Adding to the numbers, Princess Anne’s children, Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall, are also expected with their loved ones: Peter with girlfriend Lindsay Steven and his children Savannah, 12, and Isla, 11; and Zara with husband Mike and their children Mia, nine, Lena, five, and Lucas, two.
