If their social media pages are anything to go by, this is a couple truly deep in love. The beautiful aesthetics of their Instagram feeds keep the world hooked to their lives, which they spent hopping from country to country for the past year following their fairytale engagement in the Maldives.
Ready to commit to each other for life, Alanna Panday, daughter of Chikki and Deanne Panday, and American creative director Ivor McCray tied the knot earlier in March in an intimate setting at Six Senses Fort Barwara, surrounded only by their family and close friends. But before their formal “I dos” came a special pre-wedding shoot exclusively for HELLO!, where the endearing chemistry between the two shone through.
Alanna and Ivor, how did the two of you meet? Where did your story begin?
IM: Alanna and I had a mutual friend who was very keen on introducing us. I invited them to this Halloween party in Los Angeles that I was attending with my friends. When I first noticed her, I thought she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. I introduced myself, and we hit it off. I made her laugh all night with my ‘dad’ dance moves.
Can you share the first memory that you have of each other?
AP: A memory of us that first comes to mind is our engagement in the Maldives. We had gone on a diving trip with a group of friends, where we all lived on a boat for a week. We then flew to Soneva Jani. That’s where Ivor proposed. It was the most amazing trip.
