Over her 30-year career, Katie Price has made almost as many headlines for her toyboy romances as she has for her plastic surgeries and ever-changing looks.
But while the 46-year-old former glamour model has had an eventful dating history – which includes three marriages and divorces – the one thing that’s stayed fairly consistent is her apparent love of younger men.
As she hits the seven-month anniversary mark with her latest love, Married At First Sight UK star John James “JJ” Slater – who, at 31, is 15 years her junior – a source tells us that Katie finds it “comforting” to date a younger man.
“After her first couple of boyfriends, Katie has gone for younger men, and some of them have been younger by quite a significant margin, like Gareth Gates,” they claimed. “He was only 17 when they were together and she took his virginity.
“JJ is obviously a lot younger than her and she’s happy about that. She also likes to date men who don’t have baggage, and, of course, the older you are, the more baggage you’re likely to have. So sticking with younger men means she doesn’t have to deal with any of that.
“Maybe she finds it easier – maybe comforting – to be with younger men. It might be to do with the trauma in her past that she’s talked about.”
Katie has been open about her experiences with men, and has said she’s “never, ever had a man that’s taken care of me” financially.
