The great and good of the television world partied at the London Hilton on Park Lane in celebration of all our favourite shows and personalities at the TV Choice Awards.
On the night, Sarah Lancashire and her show Happy Valley triumphed with Best Actress and Best Drama awards, while long-standing hit Call The Midwife won Best Family Drama. Talented Helen Skelton was suitably glammed up in a black bustier and scarlet trousers to pick up the prize for Best Factual Show for her series On The Farm.
We chatted with the stars on the red carpet as they arrived. Olivia Attwood, who looked stunning in an orange mini dress, was excited to be at her first event since joining the Loose Women panel, telling us she “hopes people have seen a different side” to her on the show.
Olivia paid tribute to her co-star Linda Robson, who exclusively spoke to OK! recently about her tumultuous breakdown and split from Mark Dunford, her husband of 33 years.
“I love Linda,” Olivia said. “She’s been such a good friend to me and has really taken me under her wing.”
Coronation Street star Maureen Lipman won the award for Best Soap Actress. She plays battleaxe Evelyn Plummer but while the fans have been hoping for some romance between her and Roy Cropper (David Neilson), Maureen isn’t so sure.
“I don’t think they’d give Evelyn a romance,” she said. “Because she wouldn’t take her vest off!”
