“There’s definitely an element of it being bittersweet,” acknowledges Katelyn MacMullen (Willow). “Everyone is coming together and she’s being celebrated and she really feels like she’s a part of this family, and she says to Carly, ‘We’re going to stay in a place of love and joy. We’re not going to wallow in any sadness.’ But as the events unfold, there are certainly moments where Willow is like, ‘I really want this to be the beginning of something and not the end of something,’ so it’s bittersweet in that way.”
Willow is pleased that Michael agreed to invite Sonny (“She wants nothing more than for Sonny and Michael to get along and for Michael to drop this vendetta”) and can’t wait to become Mrs. Michael Corinthos. “For her and Michael, it’s a beautiful thing, especially because the first time they got married it was for legal reasons,” MacMullen notes. The ceremony is “so sweet and emotional” — and capped off by a shocking twist. “Something dramatic and unexpected takes place,” the actress hints. “There’s a knock at the door. Who is it?”
SAVE THE DATE
Michael tries to keep his emotions in check as he persuades Willow to move up their wedding date. On Dante’s advice, Sonny calls Michael to offer his support. Michael confides in Josslyn about the feelings his chat with Sonny stirred up. Willow implores Carly to help Michael and Sonny end their war.
