Catherine Hill would never call herself a superhero, but aside from her lack of cape the evidence is overwhelming that we should. Firstly, the Melbourne-based entertainment industry veteran has the cover of a very busy day job where she directs theatre, writes and edits scripts, acts, and makes films. Second, she maintains a fully engaged private life, raising a legally blind son she and her husband adopted from China. Now, the long-time crisis centre volunteer and social justice advocate has absorbed the stories of the people she has helped over the years and concentrated them into a powerful film, Some Happy Day.
