In the days leading up to the sombre one-year anniversary of the death of the her soulmate, Bryan Randall, Sandra Bullock marked a milestone that most celebrities would ring in with an over-the-top celebration. But the actress, always intensely private, even more so since leaving the spotlight to care for Randall while he battled the degenerative illness ALS, tumed 60 without public fanfare.

It would certainly have been an emotionally tumultuous few weeks. But now friends have given an insight into how the Oscar winner has fared and what her plans are for the future.

According to a source close to her friend Jennifer Aniston, Bullock is "doing OK now"thanks to her loved ones. "Her friends gave her the support that she needed both during his illness and afterwards, the friend told People. "She is grateful for all the love. Everyone helped tolift her up after Bryan passed."
