Sounder sleep is just one of the many benefits of yoga nidra
Go with THE FLOW

What do you get when you cross yoga with guided meditation? Yoga nidra, of course! It relaxes the mind and body, helping you to fall asleep faster and sleep more deeply. Gabrielle Boswell, senior yoga teacher and registered yoga therapist with Yoga Australia, shares how this mindfulness practice works.

WHAT IS IT?

“Yoga nidra is a form of deep relaxation,” Boswell explains. “Attention is directed from body to breath through emotions, thoughts and images, inducing a deep state of relaxation.”

The practice is generally performed lying down in a comfortable, supported position where you are led through a series of steps that direct and settle the mind – similar to guided meditation.
