Lizzo I am not the VILLAIN

It was just a few weeks ago that Lizzo fans in Australia were celebrating the singer as she took to stages around the country as part of the final leg of her wildly successful Special tour. Blasting out her feel-good tunes about power, inclusivity and love, the 35-year-old was fawned over by the wild sequin-clad crowds watching on. But all that praise and positivity has been sidelined in recent days, with the megastar being hit with a series of shock allegations.

Three ex-dancers for Lizzo’s production company Big Grrrl Big Touring, Inc., Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, have taken legal action against the pop star, her company, and her dance captain Shirlene Quigley in a Los Angeles court. The civil lawsuit filed on August 1 claims the plaintiffs were subjected to sexual, religious and racial harassment, disability discrimination, hostile working conditions, and even body shaming.

The trio also detailed several incidents, one in which they claimed they were coerced into touching nude performers at an Amsterdam strip club in late February and another where Davis was pressured into participating in a nude photoshoot to stay in a dance competition, despite her discomfort.
