THE MAGIC OF A NO RMAL LIFE

Growing up on screen, Emma Watson had anything but a normal childhood. At age 10, she became Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise and was suddenly one of the most famous children in the world.

“I was terrified by the level of interest in me,” she once told Porter magazine. “I spent most of my time trying to convince everyone I was incredibly boring because I needed privacy and a minute to figure myself out. I used to have to go numb and close myself off, for example on the red carpet, just to get through it.”

Her recent decision to return to education, studying a Master’s at Oxford University, could be another attempt to add a bit of normalcy into her adult life.
