The Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) back in June brought forth a bunch of new products and devices, but Apple has more up its sleeve that it’s yet to reveal.
Those secret plans may have been unveiled in a massive disclosure from a prominent leaker, though, giving us a glimpse of what Apple is planning for the months and years ahead.
The information comes from reporter Mark Gurman, who has a strong track record for accurate Apple predictions. According to Gurman, Apple is going to update a host of products in late 2023 or early 2024 and will also be introducing some all-new products.
Perhaps Gurman’s most interesting revelation is that Apple is working on a new iMac with a display “over 30 inches” in size. This has rejuvenated speculation that Apple will soon launch either a large-scale iMac to replace the 27-inch iMac, or a new iMac Pro. Rumours had been flying for months that the company was set to do just this, but had died off more recently after it was claimed that Apple had dropped these plans. However, Gurman’s update could breathe new life into the idea.
Gurman hasn’t said whether Apple is planning this to be an iMac Pro with a powerful chip or a larger variant of the colourful, consumer-grade iMac. Either way, it’s good news for people who feel the 24-inch iMac just isn’t big enough.
