iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2022)

Both iPad Pro 11- and 12.9-inch models support the brilliant Smart Keyboard Folio, though it’s another cost to factor in.

From £1,249 FROM apple.com/uk FEATURES 12.9-inch Liquid Retina XDR display (2732x2048 pixels) with True Tone, M2 chip (8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine), up to 2TB of storage, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi+Cellular option, USB-C port, 12MP Wide camera and 10MP Ultra Wide camera (rear), 12MP Ultra Wide camera (front)

Apple’s iPad line-up is arguably better than it’s ever been, delivering class-leading performance from the cheapest model (the new iPad 10.9-inch, reviewed on p82) to the M1 iPad Air (MF377). And now we have the delicious prospect of the first M2-powered iPad in the form of the new iPad Pro.

Both new models of the iPad Pro boast 12MP Wide and 10MP Ultra Wide rear cameras.

We’re looking at the 12.9-inch iPad Pro here, but both the iPad Pro 11-inch and iPad Pro 12.9-inch come with the Apple silicon M2 chip – the same one used in the MacBook Air (MF382) and MacBook Pro 13-inch (MF381). That means you get an 8-core CPU, a 10-core graphics processor and a 16-core Neural Engine for machine learning tasks.
