Every person sees the moon with a different view, an artist as their inspiration, astrologers for guidance, and scientists as another body present in space.
Let us also see and understand the moon as a part of space for now. There are not one but many moons in the solar system. Like Earth, many other planets have their own moons.
The moons' shape, size, and type are not the same. Some planetary moons were formed during the early solar system, with dust and gas circulating near the planets, and some are objects that fell into orbit. Every moon contains something that makes it different, like a few moons have hidden oceans beneath their surface and atmosphere.
The Moon is a natural satellite, and Earth has only one natural satellite, whereas some planets have many. The original count of moons in the solar system is 224; Mercury and Venus have none; Earth has one; Mars has two; Jupiter has the largest number, ninety-two; Saturn comes second in line as it has eighty-three moons; Uranus has twenty-seven; Neptune has fourteen and the dwarf planet, Pluto has five moons. Astronomers have discovered more moons orbiting asteroids, Kuiper Belt Objects, or dwarf planets that are not counted in the solar system. Also, scientists believe that thousands of more moons in space are yet to be discovered.
Moons are categorised into two categories: regular moons that orbit in the direction of the planet's rotation and are close to the plane of the equator, and irregular moons that orbit against the direction of their planet's planet rotation and lie in extreme angles.
