Ivory Park native Amanda Nomnqa, aka 'Brave Amy' on Instagram, is leading all of us to a better SA. As a member of the Global Citizen movement and 2022 recipient of the Forbes Woman Africa Young Achievers Award, this 24 year old has a special place for community in her heart.

WHERE DOES YOUR PASSION FOR HELPING YOUNG AFRICANS AND YOUR INITIATIVE, SHEISBRAVE, COME FROM?

I didn't have a normal childhood. I changed schools five times in primary school and never had a sense of belonging. I struggled

to relate to my peers. At the time, I was always concerned that I might move to another school and environment, and have to learn different languages and adapt to new cultures. I was exposed to a lot of environments.
