Raymond & Ray
After striking up a friendship in the mid1990s, actors Ethan Hawke and Ewan McGregor always thought they would work together, but it's taken almost three decades and the right kind of film for it to finally happen.
'Ewan and I were both breaking on to the scene at the same time and would audition for the same parts, recalls Hawke, 51. 'We were probably seen as too similar to be put in the same movie back then, but it's perfect that it's finally happened with Raymond & Ray? The poignant yet funny film follows two estranged half-brothers who are forced to confront long-held family resentments when their cruel, abusive father passes away.
