In 1978, Candy Montgomery, a housewife in Wylie, Texas, embarked on an affair with Allan Gore, a friend she knew from church. But two years later, their relationship ended in horror after their spouses uncovered their secret liaison - and Montgomery ended up on trial for murder.
Written by David E. Kelley, who created Big Little Lies and The Undoing, the true story is now told in seven-part series Love & Death, starring WandaVision's Elizabeth Olsen as Montgomery and Breaking Bad's Jesse Plemons as Gore.
