NEW COMEDY

The Franchise Monday, 10pm, 10.40pm & 11.15pm, Sky Comedy

A team of TV and film heavyweights have joined forces in Sky Comedy satire The Franchise, about the making of a big-budget Hollywood superhero movie.

Produced by The Thick of It creator Armando Iannucci and Oscarwinning director Sir Sam Mendes, the eight-part series spoofs cinema's biggest blockbuster franchises.

Launching with a salvo of three back-to-back episodes this week, the comedy follows the day-to-day problems of working on Tecto: Eye of the Storm, one of the smaller films in the fictitious franchise, which also includes the higherpriority movie Centurios 2.

As we head behind the scenes of the movie to meet its ego-driven stars and stressed-out crew members, we find life behind the camera is very different to the glitzy finished product.
