A Dog Called Laura

Actor Martin Clunes famously loves animals. He lives on an idyllic 130-acre farm in Dorset, home to horses, sheep, cows, chickens and four dogs.
But now he's about to add to his menagerie by applying to adopt a retiring guide dog called Laura, and their journey is followed in ITVI's one-off documentary A Dog Called Laura.
'Last year, I was listening to a radio programme, which featured a woman who'd lost her sight. But her guide dog was now 11 and needed to retire,' explains Doc Martin star Clunes, 61.
'I just emailed the radio programme and said, "We could give that guide dog a nice retirement, and one thing led to another.
