Bvlgari pulls out all the stops for its latest high jewellery showing. Titled Aeterna, the collection is an ode to how the jeweller has continuously reinvented itself throughout its 140-year history.

eternal splendour

Rome, the birthplace of Bvlgari, famously known as the Eternal City, is the inspiration A behind the Italian jeweller's latest high jewellery collection. This year also marks Bvlgari's 140th anniversary, which makes it an ideal point in time for the luxury house to pay tribute to its own evolution over the decades. It has done so by translating the many varied facets of its unique aesthetic into some truly spectacular works for this latest haute joaillerie release, Aeterna.

Meaning "eternal" in Latin, Aeterna features some of the most extraordinary and extravagant creations we've ever seen from the jeweller-not just in terms of the precious gems used, but also in the design expertise and artisanal savoirfaire that has gone into its creation. Bold, opulent styling is a given, as well as exceptional craftsmanship-both of which are hallmarks of Bvlgari. And nowhere is this more evident than in the breathtaking necklaces, which, perhaps―because of the expanse of space they provide-make an ideal canvas for showcasing design, artistry and jewels that rank among the world's finest and most magnificent.

Bvlgari has put its creative and artisanal prowess in full display with an array of masterpieces, each unique and breathtaking in its own distinctive fashion. Apart from these, the high jewellery watches are always certain to be stunning dazzlers. Here, we take a closer look at the 10 most impressive of these creations.

SERPENTI AETERNA NECKLACE

The highlight of the new collection is undoubtedly this remarkable necklace, which, according to Bvlgari, is the most precious diamond high jewellery creation it has ever crafted. One look at the enormous pear-cut diamonds that line the undulating waves of its form, and you'd know they are no ordinary gems.
