The mere mention of Paris evokes the romance and mystery of the historical French capital. Besides its reputation as one of the most romantic places in the world, Paris is also well known as the ‘City of Lights’, or ‘La Ville-Lumière’ as the Parisians would say — it was one of the first European cities to adopt street lighting.
No matter the time of day, Paris never fails to impress with its majesty, allowing travellers to experience the city in different ways, during the day and then at night — this is a trait that inspired Master Perfumer Francis Kurkdjian to create two scents for his eponymous fragrance house, Petit Matin and Grand Soir, which encapsulate Paris’ distinct relationship with light.
