The SHAPE of YOU

We come in all shapes and sizes. And sometimes that shape or size can dictate what food we should be eating and what exercise we should be doing to stay healthy. Introducing somatotypes. Never heard of them? They are a set of general body types-known as ectomorphs, endomorphs and mesomorphs that are determined by our natural shape and size, as well as our ability to gain, and lose, muscle and fat.

Embarking on a health programme? Understanding your body type can help tailor your diet and workout routines, says personal trainer and registered clinical dietician Adam Enaz*. By eating and exercising in accordance with your somatotype, it's thought that you can get better results.
