HOW DID YOU GET INVOLVED IN THIS PROJECT?
We first met the clients back in 2001 when they commissioned us to fully renovate this London villa, in close collaboration with architect James Lambert; since then, we have also worked on their new-build home in the south of France. They had been living abroad in Hong Kong and New York and when they returned to the UK last year, they asked us to revamp the house, which had been rented out all this time.
WERE THE HOMEOWNERS INVOLVED?
They were very involved although, having known us for so long, there was also a strong element of trust. They were conscious that areas such as the bathrooms needed a complete update, but they also wanted us to keep or refresh a lot of existing pieces, from furniture to joinery.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THEIR STYLE?
