Two of Australia's biggest television heart-throbs could soon become costars, if producers have their way. New Idea has learnt that plans are being made to hopefully pair Stephen Peacocke and James Stewart together in a project that will enormous, capitalise on their devoted fan bases.
"It would be the ultimate dream team from a casting point of view," reveals one insider, who notes there are few Aussie stars who have the pair's experience, sex appeal, and popularity in a crowded TV market.
"James and Stephen are already big stars on really popular shows, so to put them together would be a stroke of genius," continues the source. "Steve has that down-to-earth Aussie hero thing down pat, while Jimmy is total heart-throb material."
Former Packed to the Rafters star James joined Home and Away in 2016, just as Stephen, who played River Boy, Darryl 'Brax' Braxton for five years, was preparing to depart. The role earned him millions of fans and saw him take home the TV Week Logie Award for Most Popular Actor twice.
