Congratulations on your MAXIM NZ cover, Rosalie. Tell us a bit about yourself. Thanks! I’m of Cambodian and Swedish background and I grew up in Portland, Oregon U.S.A. before moving to Los Angeles four years ago. I do a lot of work in Cambodia helping the schools and villages install water wells and I hope to do a lot more in the future. I also model and act and enjoy most things beauty-related, but I do have a tomboy side of me which is heavily involved in the car world – I actually wrap cars and contract out modifications.

What do you love most about yourself? I love my nurturing side. I take such joy in taking care of others I love – love and to give it is my pleasure.

Well, we love your cover photo shoot. Tell us a bit about it. For this shoot I wanted very natural elements – I enjoy nature and the beach and so I wanted to incorporate these. We shot in Miami and the weather was hot and windy, which made it a bit of a challenge as far as hair and make-up goes, but we had fun and reinforced where needed. It all came out great.
