Bruised Anne 'on super form' after horse accident

PRINCESS Anne has said she "can't remember a single thing" about being injured by a horse on her estate three weeks ago.

Returning to royal duties for the first time since the accident, Anne was described as being "on super form" as she made a surprise appearance at the Riding for the Disabled Association Championships.

National Yesterday's event forms part of the Princess Royal's gradual return to work, after she spent five nights in hospital for a concussion.

Anne, 73, who still has bruising under her left eye, was rushed to hospital on June 23 with minor head wounds after walking around Gatcombe Park, Glos.

Her medical team believe the injuries were caused by the impact of either a horse's leg or head.

The King's sister - a skilled horsewoman who competed in the 1976 Montreal Olympics spent five nights in hospital before being discharged on June 28. Yesterday, wearing an olive green tweed suit, navy blue hat and a colourful scarf, Anne arrived at the equine centre of Hartpury University and College, Glos, with her lady-inwaiting, Dolly Maude.
