Nirav and Kanan Chokshi were asked separately to help adults with leukaemia after signing up to the NHS Stem Cell Donor Registry.
People on the list have a one in 2,000 chance of being called up - and there is a one in four million chance that a couple will both be asked.
Nirav, 43, was the first to sign up in 2016 and donated two years later.
After witnessing his experience, Kanan, 44, signed up and donated this year. They were born in India and live in Hounslow, West London, with their children Shiven, 15, and Siya, 11.
And they are now calling on other people of Asian heritage to sign up due to a shortage.
