SALLY Lindsay has hit out at TV bosses, claiming they use the same few women in dramas while offering others grandma roles "at 50".
The former Coronation Street star has now turned to writing and producing her own series, including The Madame Blanc Mysteries for Channel 5.
Sally, 50, said: "My show is 70% women of a certain age. I think it's bull***t you get to an age and you're not wanted or you're playing grandmas at 50.
"Ten older women are allowed on telly. I'm not on that list, so I wrote my own show."
