Red Devils boss is in the hunt for new as Malacia ruled out of US tour

MANCHESTER UNITED are stepping up their search for a left-back-with Tyrell Malacia no closer to returning to action.

Malacia, 24, who has not played for United in 15 months after twice undergoing surgery to address a knee issue, was left out of Erik Ten Hag's squad for the club's US tour.

With England star Luke Shaw on an extended break following his involvement at Euro 2024, it means United do not have a recognised senior left-back on the three-game tour of the States.

Diogo Dalot moved across to cover at left-back on several occasions last season, but he is also not on the tour, having helped Portugal reach the quarter-finals of Euro 2024.
