MORE asylum seekers were sent on to the Bibby Stockholm barge after officials had been told there was deadly bacteria in the water supply, it is claimed.
All 39 on board were yesterday evacuated from the vessel due to Legionella, just four days after arriving as the Tory bid to stop small boat crossings descended into chaos.
It comes just two days after Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick insisted the barge was "perfectly decent accommodation".
The first asylum seekers arrived on the vessel in Portland Port, Dorset, on Monday.
That day, "low levels of Legionella, which can cause legionnaires' disease were found.
The local council told the Home Office on Wednesday. On Thursday six more migrants were sent on board but further tests "changed the picture" and they were removed later that evening. No one is reported to be ill.
