Saffron Cordery, chief exec of NHS Providers, said: "The situation is likely to get worse before it gets better." NHS England has warned it faces a "quad-demic" of flu, norovirus, RSV and Covid-19. Patricia Marquis, of the Royal College of Nursing, said: "The growing number of flu cases threatens to overwhelm an NHS already in crisis."
