A WOMAN has died after becoming trapped in a baggage carousel at an airport.Firefighters found her body entangled in the machinery in an area not accessible to the public.Fire department spokesman Larry Langford said it was not clear how she entered the room where she died.The 57-year-old's name had not been released last night after the tragedy at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport on Thursday.The woman was not a worker at the airport. She was found at around 7.45pm after the alarm was raised.Police said surveillance footage showed the woman entering the staff-only area just before 2.30am, which means her body was not found for approximately five hours.The section of the busy international terminal is filled with conveyor belts that bring luggage to and from planes.Bags in this area also go through customs.It remains unclear where the woman was from or what she was doing at the airport.
