Diary of English woman in Germany tells of festive seasons throughout WWI

A REMARKABLE diary of an English woman in Germany during the First World War sheds an extraordinary light on grim Christmases past.

Annie Droege was living near Hanover when war broke out.

She stayed there for more than three years until she was allowed to return to the UK, and kept an incredible personal diary.

Now, for the first time, details of her wartime Christmases can be revealed in the Diary of Annie's War by author Charlie Yates.
