TRIPLE Olympic champion Adam Peaty has not ruled out competing at Los Angeles in 2028 because of lingering "anger" over his near-miss in Paris.

Team GB's king of Pool Britannia was denied a hat-trick of gold medals in the 100m breaststroke by just 0.02 seconds - despite a severe chest infection which turned out to be Covid.

Peaty would have become only the second man, after American legend Michael Phelps, to win the same event at three consecutive Olympic galas, but was pipped in the last half-dozen strokes by unfancied Italian Nicolo Martinenghi. Four months on, Peaty's soulsearching over retirement or competing at his fourth Games in LA has been inconclusive.
