ENGLAND will have to dodge Guyana's stormy weather and pick their way through the International Cricket Council's lopsided playbook to reach another Twenty20 World Cup final.
As Jos Buttler's men scrambled to reach Georgetown, on the South American mainland, for their showdown with India tomorrow, former captains Michael Atherton and Nasser Hussain slammed the short straws awaiting them in Guyana.
For a start, heavy showers are forecast for the Providence Stadium, on the bank of the Demerera River.
If the game is washed out, India will progress to the final as winners of their Super 8 group. Remarkably, while there is a reserve day for the other semi-final between South Africa and Afghanistan in Trinidad, there is none for England's match although play can be extended by up to 250 minutes if necessary.
And while India have known all along they would be playing their semi-final in Guyana, England only discovered their fate late on Sunday night, after the Proteas had knocked co-hosts West Indies out of their own party.
