NEW pay offers for train drivers and junior doctors are worth it to end industrial action, says Labour.

Paymaster General Nick Thomas-Symonds said the rail dispute had cost the economy dearly and defended the offers in media interviews.

Train drivers' union Aslef has recommended members accept 14.25%, raising hopes of an end to two years of misery for commuters. It is made up of 5% for 2022-23, 4.75% for 2023-24 and 4.5% for the coming financial year.
