Laughter and tears as cast of sitcom take one last trip down memory lane together

THE cast of Gavin & Stacey enjoy one last laugh together as they film the BBC comedy's farewell episode.

And going by these newly released pictures from the Christmas special, viewers had better start warming up their chuckle muscles.

But there were plenty of tears on set too, as the series came to an end after 17 years.

Co-creator Ruth Jones, who plays Nessa, said: "It was sad, of course. This is the last time these characters will ever be on screen.

"And it was nostalgic because we'd be on set with the cast and we'd go down memory lane."
