ISRAEL pummelled Gaza again at the weekend, killing at least 90 people and leaving many trapped under rubble, it is claimed.
Its forces struck the city of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, the strip's Hamas-run authorities said.
Israel said it was checking reports of casualties after the attack on Saturday but claimed the figures were exaggerated and did not match information held by its military.
Fighting also continued in southern Lebanon as well as the south of Beirut yesterday morning, where smoke was seen rising above the city.
Israel has ramped up strikes on the southern neighbourhood of Dahiyeh.
Hezbollah has a strong presence there but it is also home to large numbers of civilians and people unaffiliated with the militant group.
