DISGRACED Huw Edwards has damaged the BBC's reputation, chairman Samir Shah admits.

Mr Shah said he was shocked the former newsreader had led a double life.

In July, Edwards, 63, admitted having indecent images of children after he had resigned in April.

Mr Shah said: "There's nothing more important than public trust in the BBC.
