A DRUG trafficker caught with a &pound;1million cocaine haul claimed he was holding it for a friend.
Jason Henderson, 31, was arrested in November last year after police received intelligence.
Detectives caught him with cocaine and &pound;640 in Aberdeen's Howes View.
Officers then searched his flat in the city's Ferrier Gardens and found 10 bags of white powder&nbsp;after removing kickboards under kitchen cupboards.
Prosecutor Jennifer Cameron told the High Court in Edinburgh Henderson confirmed ownership of the drugs recovered.
"He stated that he was holding on to the 10 bags of cocaine on behalf of a friend," she said.
Henderson maintained he was due to hand them to someone else the following day.
Further drugs linked to Henderson were also recovered, with the total haul weighing almost 13kg.
The court heard it had the potential to yield a maximum value of &pound;1,042,280.
Unemployed Henderson, who is in Grampian prison, admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
The Crown is seeking a confiscation order against Henderson, who has previous convictions for drug offending.
The judge, Lord Fairley, deferred sentence until March 5 at the High Court in Glasgow and told Henderson he would remain in custody.
