1-YEAR-OLD KILLED IN CAR PARK CRASH

A ONE-YEAR-OLD girl has died after she was hit by a car in a church car park.

The tot, named as Ivy Mae Ross by her heartbroken parents, was struck by a Land Rover outside Plymouth Brethren Church in Balmedie, Aberdeenshire, at about 7.45pm on Wednesday.

The child was rushed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but she tragically died from her injuries a short time later.

The 40-year-old driver of the car was uninjured.

Police have since launched a probe into the incident.
