JOHN HIGGINS revealed he was a riddled with nerves as he suffered UK Championship heartache.
The Wizard of Wishaw, 49, has been under Judd Trump's spell ever since a crushing 18-9 World Championship Final defeat in 2019.
And Higgins' dream of a fourth UK crown was dashed in a 6-5 defeat in York, an 11th loss in his last 13 meetings with the world No.1.
The Scot led 30-0 in the final frame but left a red for Trump to clear with a 106 run.
World No.14 Higgins said: "I was confident out there.
