Alison is 'perfect' for Paul's old show

ALISON Hammond is in final talks to succeed Paul O'Grady as the host of hit show For the Love of Dogs.

ITV execs think Alison, 48, may be the "perfect custodian" of the programme, which they want to continue in Paul's honour after he died last year.

The documentary series, which first aired in 2012, follows the comings and goings at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.
