Bid to block Stella's £5m hideaway in Highlands

WOODLAND experts have objected to Stella McCartney's plans to build a £5million mansion on a remote Highland plot.

McCartney, 52, sparked criticism over the proposals for a secluded hideaway at Commando Rock in Glenuig, Inverness-shire.

Dozens of objections have been lodged with Highland Council over the application in the name of her husband, Alasdhair Willis.

McCartney, the daughter of former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney, is one of the world's leading fashion designers.

She was awarded a CBE in recognition of her services to fashion and sustainability.
