BLAZE HITS IRAN NUCLEAR PLANT

AN IRANIAN nuclear site was hit by a mystery fire yesterday as the country continued to brace for an Israeli revenge attack.

The blaze at the Karaj power plant, west of Tehran, sent plumes of black smoke into the air.

It comes after repeated warnings from Israel it will retaliate for Iran's missile barrage at the beginning of the month.

The cause of the blaze was still unknown last night.

An Israeli strike on a school where the displaced were sheltering in Gaza killed at least 17 people, including three women and 13 children, yesterday, Palestinian medical officials said.
