A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after allegedly being bitten in the face by a "bulldog".
Officers from Police Scotland were called to reports of an attack yesterday morning.
The attack happened in the Silvertrees area of Bothwell, near Hamilton.
The local Post Office issued an alert to dog owners in the area claiming that the woman was trying to save her puppy.
